− | There are three total mining points on each map. Any team's primary objective in the game mode is to capture these points. While your team holds a point, it will slowly charge up your Annihilator, while also providing your [[Protonium Reactor]] with a protective shield. This shield will heal allies extremely quickly, and enemies cannot shoot or move through it. If a team holds all three points, the shield around the other team's Protonium Reactor will fall, allowing enemies to steal protonium crystal off it. These crystals represent the Annihilator charge. This team will also become "Dominant", meaning they receive Annihilator charge much faster. The shield can be re-instated by simply capturing a mining point. |

In order to capture a mining point simply stand on top of it for a few seconds. Getting shot will not slow the capture process, but if an enemy is also standing on the mining point the process will be halted until they either leave or die. At the beginning of the game all mining points are neutral, meaning both teams can capture them. |

There are currently six multiplayer game modes in Robocraft, and two singleplayer game modes. |
Direct AccessThese game modes are available directly from the Play Menu. |
Battle ArenaBattle Arena is a 5v5 team-based game mode. Teams fight to capture "Mining Points" in order to charge up "The Annihilator". When The Annihilator reaches 100% charge, it fires an orbital strike beam, destroying the enemy team's Protonium Reactor and ending the match. |
Mining PointsThere are three total mining points on each map. Any team's primary objective in the game mode is to capture these points. While your team holds a point, it will slowly charge up your Annihilator, while also providing your Protonium Reactor with a protective shield. This shield will heal allies extremely quickly, and enemies cannot shoot or move through it. If a team holds all three points, the shield around the other team's Protonium Reactor will fall, allowing enemies to steal protonium crystal off it. These crystals represent the Annihilator charge. This team will also become "Dominant", meaning they receive Annihilator charge much faster after they hold the points for a certain amount of time. The capture process has three segments. If you have captured a segment and were then killed, your team will not lose that segment until the point is captured, at which the enemy team can attempt to recapture it again. The capture status of all mining points can be seen through any object as a floating HUD element. |
Protonite CoreThe Protonite Core (aka The Equaliser) is a game mechanic designed to give the losing team a chance to catch up to the other team. It appears as a large crystal stationed at the centre of the map. At five minutes intervals, the Equaliser will appear for one minute. The losing teams objective is to destroy it, whereas the winning teams objective is to defend it. If the losing team manages to destroy it within this time period, their Annihilator charge will be "equalised" to that of the winning team. This means that the losing team will gain power until it matches that of the enemy team. If it is not destroyed, the crystal will retreat back into the ground, nothing will change, and the game will continue. |
Tips & Tricks
|
League ArenaLeague Arena is exactly the same as Battle Arena, except with the addition of an MMR system, with various ranks. When these ranks have been achieved, League Badges will be unlocked and rewarded. |
Team DeathmatchTeam Deathmatch is a 5v5 battle. In this game mode, a team's only objective is to gain kills. The first team to reach 25 kills, or the team with the most kills when the 10 minute timer runs out, wins. |

BrawlBrawl is a game mode with custom rules and game modes that change from time to time. This mode often gives bonus crates for a first win. The current rules and game mode are set by Freejam, the creators of Robocraft. For example, a custom rule could make weapons do double damage. Notably, Freejam recycles two game modes (but specific rules change), Elimination and The Pit. Information about these can be found in the Indirect Access section below. |
Indirect AccessThese game modes cannot be accessed directly from the Play Menu, but can be accessed via Brawl and Custom Games. |
EliminationElimination, as the name suggests, is a game mode where two teams fight to the death with no respawns. It demands a well balanced robot that can survive well and also output enough damage to kill the enemy. There are 2 ways to win, either kill all of the enemy team or capture the enemy base. Elimination is arguably the fastest game mode with matches sometimes taking only a few minutes. |
CapturingThe enemy base can be captured in four segments, much like the three segments of the Mining Point in Battle Arena. Once a segment has been captured, the enemy team cannot re-capture it. However, unlike the Mining Points, the capture process can be stopped by shooting someone on the base. |
Tips & Tricks
|
The PitThe Pit is a free-for-all battle with respawns. The goal is to get 20 score, which is gained from killing the other players. However, the you get a bonus for killing the "leader" (player with the most score), or somebody on a killstreak. The leader is indicated by a golden robot and a long golden trail. |
Tips & Tricks
|
Local ModesThese game modes are singleplayer, and are mainly used for testing robots. Note that an internet connection is still required to use them. |
Test RobotA simple "Holo-level" that has no terrain textures. This is used for testing one's robot. It provides a climbing wall, hilly terrain, targets, and a jump. |
Single PlayerA team deathmatch with AI teammates and AI enemies. This is mostly used for testing robot's damage and health capabilities. The AI robots are not difficult, so it can be good for new players. Note that one can still gain crates from playing this game mode. |
